Importing sound into Maya animation slider

Hey all,
Being the huge procrastinator I am, I need to basically make a short video clip for my Maya class final by the end of this week. I have a rigged character and wanted to import the sound for lip sync. The sound file outside of Maya seems to work fine, but when dragged onto the slider, it cuts out the last second of the sound file, but displays that the last second is there. The sound file can be found at the Ten Second animation club's website at http://i-animate.org/10secondclub.org/files/soundfiles/2003-02.wav If anyone has anyclue why it's not adding the last second please let me know, thanks in advance!
