Website Updated - Environment Art

Hi everyone, I'm new here. SinisterGFX recommended me to these forums, and told me to post some of my stuff up. So here I am. I just updated my website with some new material, and I just wanted to make sure everything is in good shape before I start sending it out to other people. So if you have any suggestions for improvments let me know, I would liked to hear it. Feel free to leave any comments about my work. Check out my site here:

Wow I like where you're style is headed. I'd love to see more painted in light on you're texture work (best example would be the last image), and then pull back more on the pre-rendered light setups. But anyways nice work.

Some nice tight work, there, and the wires look pretty tidy. Might be good to show a selection of the environment's textres on your site, too.

btw, a typo on your site. You have photo reel in your corridor section.

jeffro: I do have some new stuff on my site, but nothing 3d. I wish I had some work I could post, but most all of the 3d work I've done in the last year has been for the game project I'm working on that hasn't shipped yet (Geist). I would like to do some more work on the side, but I haven't had much free time lately.

JonMurphy: Good eye spoting that typo. I'm the king of bad spelling and typo's, so good looking out. You spotted the typo, but you didn't spot my environment textures section. Its the first icon under 2D art, do you think I should make it more obvious so people are more likely to see it? Thanks for the help.

just wondering if its a good idea to have an .exe showreel? made me a little hesitant to download.

Nice work, Brian; a favorite style of mine, too. I've noticed more people using a Bink exe for their demoreels lately. Unfortunately, being an exe it doesn't let me rewind if I wanted to check something out again (unless there's some option I'm oblivious too). Oh, and if I was on a mac, I'd be SOL. You never know what someone in HR is using. Also, I'd recommend naming the download BrianMiller-demoreel.exe or something like that, because sitting on my desktop as demoreel.exe doesn't help me remember who you are (and it's nice to be able to attach a name to the work).

Those are some great points about my demo reel formatting. I used a bink exe because its has awsome compression (quicktime looked nasty in comparison), and you also don't need to download the codec to play it. I think ideally there should be a few different versions of it available for download (Bink, QT, Divx). So people can choice the format they want.
