Is there a way to test whether WoW could connect? I'm not going to shell out 45 Euros for a game when I don't know whether it will even work and I have no idea how restrictive this proxy actually is so I'm not sure whether I could get it to connect.
I know for sure that nothing that doesn't take proxy settings can connect and that I cannot reconfigure the firewall or NAT. I cannot use UT2004, C&C Generals, Arena Wars or Doom 3 for online play but none of them support proxies so that's fairly predictable. ICQ worked once but never again after that. Bit Torrent and stuff like that are completely impossible.

Personal opinion on the matter, of course...
BTW, Steam won't connect, either. Good bye Half-Life 2, you won't be missed. Let's just hope online actiavtion doesn't take off before I'm out of this home.

you can probably get away with ignoring the downloader ports, the patches usually end up on fileplanet and the likes pretty quick.
maybe that will help, i get Stealth status for this port and can play fine.
EDIT: Just remembered the quote "Only a programmer would let his friends touch his private parts" (referring to C++ allowing classes considered friends to access a class's private and protected member functions and variables). Teehee, I said "member".
There's loads more like that.
Toomas: That's for incoming connections, when you're behind a NAT all incoming connections are discarded, anyway.
