Warhammer Map - Coral Reef

My latest map for Warhammer: Dawn of War. It's called Coral Reef and is designed for 2 or 3 player games.

Everyone tells me it looks like a Total Anihilation map (I never played TA but it sounds great!)

That looks awesome man. I never played Dawn of War, but I'm guessing there weren't many tropical beach based maps.

How much of the water is navigable?

looking good, only thing bothering me a bit is the trees, they dont look tropical enough to be on an island like that.

SVK - only the shallow water is navigable - the deep blue parts are impassible. It's a jumpers map :-)

Spinks - unfortunately you can't add new models to Dawn of War maps without breaking online compatibility, so I had to use the 'jungle' style trees that came with the game. The textures however are new.

Wow you are right, it does look like a Total A map, or maybe WarCraftIII? I am downloading it now, it looks like it will be fun From the screenshots it looks like there isn't much room to build? So is it mostly set up for the rushers? It looks like the room that is there is mostly for fighting. Maybe have each players base on a platform like an oil rig, set back away from the main killing zone?

Vig - there isn't much room to build at each player's base, but they have more room if they capture the relic nearby.

But don't be afraid to put grass on the sand bars, like, very thick green grass. Add Rocks aswell, mounds of sand don't just build up in the ocean without something to form around.
It's also kind of flat, the islands look like they were cut by a laser on the horizonal just above the water line, it's abit weird.

one thing i could suggest for your maps - is to add some vertical elements to them , with high/mid/low (cover and water). some visual occlusion could be good too - instead of wide open spaces.

So much negative cover! My orks would be torn to shreds!

We were playing DoW after core hours at work almost every day for awhile. We needta download this and revive the tradition for a match or twelve.
