So David Payne, aka Virdog and I are throwing our hats in on this challenge as a team. I'll be doing the concept of our design this week and Virdog will begin in on the modeling as soon as we get to that part. If we're able to use normal maps Virdog will be doing a high poly mesh and i'll be doing the low poly mesh. The concept will be that of a young female samurai. That's all I'll say on that for the moment as the concept should turn out nicely. Anyways we're in on this as a team and so we begin.

Quick update...KMan has joined the team, so now it's 3 of us working on this project. KMan will be doing texture work. Concept will be posted once we agree on the final, which will be shortly.

Ok time for an update. Still sorting out the details on the concept, but I wanted to at least post something for the moment. My main hang up right now is deciding on the body armor so that's being worked out. One thing I do want to go for is this kind of face and facemask. I also want to have a scarf draped around her shoulders than could also be pulled up to cover the head as a loose fitting hood for even further concealment of her identity. The facemask is meant to look like that of a cat. I think it fits since this samurai is a young woman and the way I'm going with the armoring is tending towards sleek, light and tight enabling her to be fast and agile like a cat. She will most likely wield dual swords as well. Anyways here's a peek for now and I'll get the full body shot up shortly.
