question: on .bip files

Hi, I'm using max6 bipeds.
In one file I posed my biped the way I like it, then saved a .bip of it.
Then I made another biped in a new file, and loaded the .bip but nothing happened!
Hmm what am I doing wrong... I was able to do it before ... could it be because my bipeds have no mesh on them? (I'm just using the bipeds to help me draw a scene; I'm not actually making a 3D character)
