Hey there folks, I was curious if I could get a pointer to a website or two that gives information about sticking custom vehicles into Battlefield (any version) and UT 2004. I'd read a really terrific overview of putting in a custom aircraft for Battlefield 1942 but didn't bookmark it (so sad!).

Much obliged for any assistance. Thanks!

Vehicles fr UT2K4 are covered in the UT2K4 DVD's you have. Anything more than 4 wheels seems to be a slight problem. You also have to set your Maya to go "Z"-up in your preferences, and handle the scale of the device in Maya rather than UED>

In the videos, yes, but I'm still interested in seeing another person's view on the subject. I've found that everytime I find a new source of information on a mod subject I learn something new, even if the ground is well-trod from sources I'm already familiar with.

For Battlefield I recommed that you start by cracking up the .con files of the vehicle of you choice and start looking through those. The easiet way is just to backup everything, replace the model files (.sm) repack with a rfa packer (for example WinRFA) and start swearing.

The most important files are Geometries.con, Objects.con and Physics.con. BACKUP a LOT! You WILL destroy your Battlefield installation sooner or later, the tools aren't exactly stable. I intended to make a simple vehicle export tutorial for BF:Vietnam but I'm tired of the whole engine that I've put that on hold.

    Good luck!
