getaway messed up.

may have posted this before, but just thought I would try and solve this again
I got to a certain level in the getaway for ps2 and then the scenery just disappears just near the houses of parilament. characters walk in and out of the void, but I can't go any further.
I cleaned the disc in a cleaner thngy which removes scratches, but still no joy.
i was wondering if it is the memory card that fucked up whilst saving that particular mission.
Any ideas?. i would love to finish the game

Hey Ruz...is this the 1st getaway or the 2nd?...as I have played and completed both games and never experienced what you are describing, maybe worth getting the DVD changed/replaced or even better still if any of your friends have the game ask if you can borrow it to see if it is the copy that you got that is damaged...

yeah, it was the getaway 1. I was just getting to the intersting bits.Cheers,I will try and borrow a new disc.

BTW how is the getaway 2. Have they added any more to london?

To be honest London looks the same, it does'nt look to be any bigger and all the same landmarks are there from the 1st game...heck...you can even go to all the locations where missions took place in the 1st game but in the sequel, they are all there...I'd say there are additions to the new environments where missions take place...e.g on top of buildings, London underground, sewers etc... if you are enjoying the 1st game maybe worth checking out or borrowing the sequel...I know what you mean about the interesting bits tho' I felt drawn in by the dialogue and the direction that surrounded the story

I agree. i was n't in to it at first, but once I got past the police station shoot out I started to enjoy it. Shame they have n't modelled camden town or wood green where I used to live.

Ah..."the shoot your way out of the police station"...fond memories, felt like a total double hard b'stard after I got out of there , yep that mission was good...LOL.. I know what you mean about seeing in-game if you could drive past where you lived, I did the same, tried to see if I could make my way back to Wembley where I grew up, but nope not possible...would've been good tho'...

Yeah, I get stuck with that 'bug' with the mission where you are supposed to go to a boat on a dock somewhere. I will ask at work and see if anyone has a copy.
Wouldn't mind moving back to london , but the house prices are enormous.

Ah...that's unfortunate about the "bug" on that mission where you have to go to the boat that is docked...it really kicks off on there....quite cool actually....but, personally I would'nt want to live back in London, I grew up there for approx 21years before I moved to Surrey, I much prefer the quieter life, London is just too much hussle and bussle for me...good luck tho' with the Getaway...
