Since he has a lot of wrinkles in his face and some deep ones too I would expect more and deeper ones on his forehead.
Also when you squint with 1 eye it's hard to keep your mouth straight. Usually the corner of your mouth (below the squinting eye) moves up at the same time.
But I haven't seen your reference pic
Hi guys cheers for the comments, yeh that reference pic has to be the best, thought about doing a direct copy but then I started to move a few things around and just thought id make a character out of him, well to answer ya question pior, I basically start with a head modelled in max as close as I can and then go straight into zbrush with him.just currently in the process of producing alot of heads to practice zbrushing. Well glad ya like him, hopefully will start texturing him soon after sorting out some uv issues, and then I will post some updates
Hi guys thanks for all the comments, yeh thought I'd get back into zbrush thing again, after seeing some of carolines latest work she pushed me again hahah. Anyways just thought id' post the wires.
Hmmm - I have neer been able to see this on any of the times I've checked. Shame 'cos its getting some good responses aswell ...I can't see your website either using Firefox or IE.
Mmmmm strangeness, well i use both firefox and IE and they seem to be working fine, sorry you are unable to view. Thanks for the comments and as for the eyes they are not quite finished yet, but hopefully i will post an update soon.
Awesome model, I was going to start a high-poly based on that ref pic until I saw yours, but you do it far better than I could have. Great job. I need to get Zbrush now.
Cheers again guys just thought i'd post a texture wip, using ref photo's and hand painting, renders with a little SSS still have to sort out bump and the lighting but pleased with the result so far hope this is what you had in mind!
Yeh I know where you mean, I still have to work into the texture as this is just a first pass so hopefully I will address these areas soon and get some eyes in.
I think your going a bit strong with your diffuse texture, especially considering the resolution of this z-brushed mesh.
There is a cavity texture in zbrush right? Is that what its called? Where it basically antiques the cracks & creases in the model...this way your diffuse texture cracks will match your geometry better.
Cheers for that I will give it a try, as for the texture itself well it is still a wip, the idea was to get everything in place then to go over the model again, hopefully I will post another update soon.
