bizarre, but rather entertaining. and it's true we could use more diesel engines in this country--once they make our emission requirements, of course, they can be comparatively efficient engines.
Hopefully once ultra low sulfur diesel is mandated in the US (I think it will be here next year?) we should be able to get the clean diesels they already have in Europe.
Didn't load fast enough, I spent more time waiting for it to load han actually watching it so I aborted early on. Perhaps my father is again downloading some useless crap he'll never actually try from eDonkey...
I LOVE it... yeah. Anyone else catch Garrison Keillor's voice singing for us, there? Yeah.
We could use some better diesel engines here, we sure could. Or better hydrogen fuel cells. You know, Prez Bush threw about a million and a half dollars toward that last year, I think it was to see how we could start extracting clean hydrogen fuel out of our great natural hydrocarbon resources... yeah. That's why we need more strong math and tech education in America's classrooms (and boardrooms). Somebody forgot to tell George and his petro golf buddies that hydrogen can be extracted from water, too, not just oil.
Know what Prof. Diesel originally designed his engine to run on? Peanut oil. Yes, Mr. Washington Carver's miracle agro-fuel, PEANUT OIL. Diesel, that silly Kraut-eater. Later, the Rockefeller Thugs made him change it to Real Oil.
if that's the bizarre ad with the flying engines and the animals...it's been around on UK TV for months and i HATE IT. the song is so catchy, i've now got it on the brain without having seen it or heard it for a week...

hate jamster, hate this, hate bleedin gene kelly singin in the remix, hate all those goddamn loan, accident insurance, personal finance adverts you get every bloody break. GAH, is it any wonder i hardly watch TV?
Jzero, only a select few listen to NPR not to mention Garrison Keillor, but its good to know your one of them too. I guess the news from lake wabagon isnt very interesting to most.
hey, I listen also. :P I just cant keep thinking what a sap he was to do this. Its almost like that one health chef who did that Burger King commercial because he "thought" he would be able to influence them to make a healthier burger *snicker*.
Am I the only one that was reminded of Pixar's Boundin' short that played before the Incredibles?
Oh yeah, I did a quick search on IMDB to see if it listed any other voice acting work of Garrison Keillor and I find they are in pre production of "A Prairie Home Companion" movie!
Is this about the hybrid diesel engines or just cleaner burning diesel? Anything that's good for the environment is ok with me, it's where I keep all my stuff!
Justin, it's funny you'd mention Boundin'. The friend who passed this commercial to me sent it along with Boundin', and they really do have a similar feel. The narration, the music, the happiness- I wonder if the Honda commercial took its inspiration from Boundin'. Hmm. Anyway, yeah- I just thought it was a swell bit of animation, and if Honda wants to make cleaner diesel engines that's fine with me. They'll probably cost a lot less than the German ones. And be easier to fix.

Very different, and very nicely done.

Wait. Don't answer that.
I do hate this ad, one of the better on TV and much better than the pervious "OK word" one.
This is a pretty bad capture, I'll see what I can do tomorrow when I get my new capture card!!

Partially a joke, and mosty because I don't find his humor funny, and I despise his politics.
