Doom3 Stereo pics

Using der_ton's md5 viewer, you'll notice a stereo render option. (http://www.doom3world.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1281)

it's fun to play with if you like those 'magic eye' pictures.

I made a couple of the Hell Knight.

Remember, look through the images and combine the two ghost images to get your 'true 3d image'.







Not perfect stereo since the camera doesn't offset itself, but still a neat idea.

the two pics are like six miles appart.. my eyes, unfortunately, can't bring the two close enough together.

I'm incapable of becoming that cross-eyed. Too hard, doesn't work for me.

god that hurts my eyes to focus like that, but once I did, I've got to admit it looked pretty sweet.

yeah i'm on a 19" at 1600x1200. must be all the tension in the backs of my eyes.

well, I opened them in photoshop and viewed them at 50%. Looks really sweet. Makes them look a whole lot creepier seeing them in 3D.

oh, and if you haven't noticed, it you look at them cross-eyed, like if you're trying to look at your nose, it flips the 3Dness so that parts that should stick out look like they're going in. Looks weird with the lighting going on.

I can do it but I don't think they are 3d enough, the spacing on the cameras is just not far apart.
