Formed in 2002 by industry veterans formerly of Electronic Arts, this studio is a fully-funded West Coast games developer, publisher, and operator of AAA online games for the PC and next-generation consoles. They are seeking highly skilled and highly motivated programmers and artists for a variety of roles.
They currently have two projects in development for the PC: One based on Original Content and the other is a MMORPG based on the high profile Sci-Fi live-action motion picture and television series

LEAD ARTIST
SUMMARY
Lead Artist to develop the art style, manage artists and contractors, and coordinate and approve art as it passes through the pipeline
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage contracted art houses and internal artists.
Developing a cohesive art style for all aspects of the game by generating concept images and/or directing concept artists.
Maintaining consistency in art style through direction of the art team.
Develop asset lists and art reference guides for contractors and internal artists.
Work with engineers and producers to develop an efficient art pipeline.
Interfacing with Design, Engineering, and Executive teams to coordinate the overall vision of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS
SHIPPED AAA PC OR CONSOLE TITLES AS A LEAD ARTIST OR ART DIRECTOR.
Proven ability to critique, and give artistic feedback to both in house and external artists.
Experience creating and managing schedules and budget.
Professionalism and the ability to function well within a team.
Extensive game, movie, or broadcast industry experience. 3 years minimum 5 or more preferred.
History of architecture, terrain, or sci-fi modeling and texturing skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience managing and directing external art production houses
Technical aptitude and experience with Maya and Mel scripting
Character and environment conception skills
Character rigging, setup, and animation skills in Maya
Experience creating content for high profile well established licenses and/or IPs.
Experience using Renderware libraries and tools
