Hi everyone , Im testing out the maya plugin "PoseDeformer" from comet cartoons , on paper it sounds just what maya needs for tackling some of the biggest problems with smooth skin rigging. i can get it working on a test model , like a simple cylinder, but as soon as i goto my character its crashing out on me ... anyone got this to work on a high poly model?
at the moment im starting off with my smooth bound poly mesh , and adding it to the deformer, then moving the joints , and going to the edit mode ... then selecting the joints ive edited as the "drivers" naming the pose , click create , and bam.... it dies on my ... or just gives me an hour glass, am i useing a mesh thats to high? 35k tris
hope somone knows about this stuff ... ive been trying to learn blend shapes , but they are a big bitch to set up .
