I did a search and didn't find anything about this, so I'm posting...
I recently bought a new monitor (a CRT, because the LCD I'd been using was too inconsistent). It then occurred to me that since my video card supports dual displays, I might as well give that a shot now that I have two working monitors. So I set it up and it's working fine.
But I'm still having trouble figuring out the best way to set up my Wacom tablet to work with this arrangement. I'm using an Intuos2 9x12. By default, it maps the width of the tablet to the total width of the two displays together, which gives me full use of both the tablet and the screens, but the aspect ratio is screwed up. That's fine for everything but painting.
So far, I've only found two alternatives for working with it in Photoshop. One is to set the pen mode to map to only one screen. That allows the use of the whole tablet in proportion to one screen, but if I want to use the other, I have to toggle to mouse mode to get the cursor to the other screen. So I either have to go through that extra step every time I need something from that side (which makes keeping all my menus there more of a hassle than a convenience), or just use Photoshop on a single screen like I did every day until today. The other option is to set it up to use only part of the tablet, but all of the screen, which basically results in the equivalent of using a smaller tablet, but the aspect ratio is intact, so I've still got plenty of control.
So far, those are all the options I'm aware of, and they all seem to have their ups and downs, with the exception of simply running PS on one screen only. I'm curious about what anyone else with a similar configuration has done, and how that's working out.

It's a bit of a fiddle but it's ok.
I tend to map the tablet to the "main" monitor (right) when just painting in PS, though, since it's a bigger monitor.
I wish you could map the buttons at the top of the Intuos2 to switch between monitor maps, but AFAIK it's not possible... just something you'll have to get used to I think.

I've got my tablet at home mapped to my right monitor for my 2d & Zbrush work. The left monitor is set as "primary"
or 3d accelerated mode, and I use the mouse to navigate there.
