Hey Polycount,

I'm heading to GDC this coming week and I feel optimistic, since I will be going solely for the purpose of meeting recruiters and trying to find a job as an environment / prop artist. I've never been to this event before and wanted to be as prepared as possible when I get there.

I don't have a reel, but I do have an online gallery that shows my work. (www.dabudesign.com) Should I bring large color print outs of my work to show to people as well? Should I bring copies so I can give them out? Before I leave, I will be adding an environment piece to the work that is currently on my site, but do you think that what is on there now is good enough to get me in?

I think smallish prints would be fine. A4. I forget what size that is in US language. 11 x 8? Mag size? Sheesh I should know by know. You should come along to the pc meetup.
I don't think you need copies to give out, but a business/contact card would help. I think that what you have on your site could get you into the industry yes.

I would print out your stuff and put it in a book to show people. Simple 8.5x11 would work for that fine I'd think.

Prints it is then. Where is the pc meetup? That would be great. I wasn't planning on coming up to the bay till Monday, since the career fair or whatever its called doesn't start till Wednesday.
