Hey Polycount,
I'm heading to GDC this coming week and I feel optimistic, since I will be going solely for the purpose of meeting recruiters and trying to find a job as an environment / prop artist. I've never been to this event before and wanted to be as prepared as possible when I get there.
I don't have a reel, but I do have an online gallery that shows my work. (
www.dabudesign.com) Should I bring large color print outs of my work to show to people as well? Should I bring copies so I can give them out? Before I leave, I will be adding an environment piece to the work that is currently on my site, but do you think that what is on there now is good enough to get me in?
Thanks for helping a noob out.
cheers

I don't think you need copies to give out, but a business/contact card would help. I think that what you have on your site could get you into the industry yes.
