I thought I'd post a new topic just because I tend to ignore stickies after they've been around a bit. The current plan is to meet at the 4th street entrance to the Moscone Center West at 6:30pm on Thursday the 10th. From there we'll go grab some food and drinks somewhere. Hopefully a local can help us with a location
Post here if you're coming!

HAhaHAhaHAha.
I'll be at Moltovs or Mad Dog in the Fog. Probably more than GDC in fact. Actually, I probably will not go to GDC, SF is too fun.
I'm not going to GDC. But I'm up for a PC meet up. Be fun to put some faces to names.

Remember boys and girls, if Daz tells you he wants to show you his "special modeling tool" JUST SAY NO!
Please hand this info onto the FBI If you don't hear from me.

Sorry about bailing early, but it looked like we wold never get a seat, and I needed food, and had to catch a train. The train part worked as I could drink freely and not worry about the DUI :-). The little Thai Fast food place had decent Curried Chicken too.

I'm going to try and write up some thoughts on what I saw at the show. There was nothing too directly applicable like the Bay Raitt membrane modeling thing last year, but some good nuggets of advice.
Learned some nice things in those shows. For example Move and Sew has options. I go to an Alias sponsored class every year with the same guy from teaching and manage to learn 1 small thing that I have never seem before in the program. That was it for this year.
I'm going to get all my notes sorted together and type them up pretty over the next week and put them up.
I forgot to mention that I was one of the 1000 that got a free 23 inch LCD HD tv at the Microsoft press conf. That's the best swag I've ever gotten at GDC.
Was an awesome first gdc for me.

I'm a litle anoyed that we were not all able to sit down as one group. Then again 20+ people is a few too many for one table.
On my flight back i was talking to this chick that i went to HS with. She's a programmer and got offered a job at the EA party by one of the programing leads, so it must have been pretty good.
