Greetings everyone, I have been away a bit on a far journey in the land of JRRT. LOTR. smile.gif

Heya, any input on ideas of color combo's for a skin for the Male Juggernaut model for
UT2003/2004?

What I am asking is the model is mainly all metal, thus would it look better with blueish
light coming down from heaven and light underglow of orange or vice versa?

Or would just a nice mute brown over the armour look ok with subtle hints of gold from above and soft blue/magenta shadows.

I am grayscaling it now.

Any suggests deeply appreciated.

TIA

It could work either way. Blue from above and orange from below would probably be a more natural choice (Quake2 worked well with it), and since skies are generally blue, it makes sense having the average "above" light as blue.
However if you think of the sun casting bright yellow/white light, then you could get away with yellowish gold highlights from above. It depends what sort of metal the armour is made of, I guess. Gold/yellow highlights would suggest bronze armour, while blue would suggest steel or something I think.
It's really up to you, either of those schemes could work equally well, as long as they're shaded consistently and have appropriate values of light and dark.

Thanks Paul. I think I will go the blue top - orange bottom route.
