Best Fighter For The X-box

I just realized that I am guilty of owning a console without owning a fighting game. Granted, I don't play my Xbox all that much but I really should own a fighter for for it. So, what's everyone think is the best fighter on the Xbox?

The Dead or Alive series in my opinion. Sould Calibur 2 is also quite good.

If you can get MAME to do a NAOMI board I'd say Melty blood: Act Cadenza but since that's doubtful I'd go with Soul Calibur 2 as well.

I say Soul Calibur 2, too. Also Dead or Alive is a nice one as well. Can't think of any others at the moment but if you got a modded Xbox, you could probably load up MAME and play some classics, like Street Fighter and Fatal Fury.

Soul Calibur 2, plus with the XBOX version you get Spawn, the best of the 3 exclusive characters for consoles imho.

SC2.. there was also a fighter put out by some ex-MK guys that was pretty good. I only played it once at a local gaming LAN though so I can't remember its name.

well since most of the fighting games are available for the different systems, it's really just whatever fighting game you most prefer. soul caliber 2 is quite good, but can sometimes feel like it's favoring straight button mashing a little too much (that is, until you get more comfortable with a character, then you can beat a button masher of course). it is very well balanced though. not a big fan of the dead or alive series personally, though minimal exposure; the latest MK game we have on x-box and have rather enjoyed... it's maybe a little slower paced, but pretty darned satisfying fighting with classic characters

I've always preferred Dead Or Alive over Soul Calibur, and not because of the eye candy (Although they are a nice bonus). But yeah, Soul Calibur 2 is good.

No 2D beat-em-ups have been mentioned yet, so I'm gonna throw in the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection and Guilty Gear XX #Reload.

Yes, I know you've already made up your mind but I just thought I'd contribute anyway. I haven't done much of that recently
