No, I will not share my story with you! But I did get a Valentine's card from someone! 2nd time in my life! And it's actually from a girl that I like! Rock on!
I bought a TV dinner. They didn't have the kind I like, but I got a kind that's OK. I'll stand at the kitchen counter and eat it off the tray while the flourescent light flickers and my upstairs neighbors fight over who has to take the kids with the settlement. I'll eat with the silverware Mamma left me. When I'm done with my dinner, I'll wait on the porch for my cat to come back home. He knows I love him, but he must be off playing with his cat friends. If my friends hadn't been scared off when I first got sick, I know I'd go visit them all the time. After it gets too cold to stay outside, because the guy who lives next to the laundry room stole my shoes, I'll go inside and sit on my chair. I'd watch TV except they shut off the cable after I lost my job. I don't think it'll be so bad though, just sitting there by myself in the dark until bedtime. I can think about my cat and pretend he's curled up in a furry ball on my lap, purring, just happy to be near me. I hope he comes back home soon. It just wouldn't be a holiday without him.
i got a valentines day card from my girlfriend, but its actually a bank statement envelope with happy valentines day scribbled in felt pen better than i got her , which was nothing . maybe ill cooker her somthing nice when she gets home tonight.
Closest I got to scoring a valentine today was running around in my underpants in World of Warcraft, flexing my muscles at the ladies. I'm such a romantic.
I lost my potential apartment to someone who got dumped and needs the place more urgently than me. Then I walked down to the supermarket and bought a 40 cent packet of instant noodles and an 89 cent jar of coffee. Those noodles and that coffee are my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now back to my friend's couch where I'm quickly outstaying my welcome.
Last Valentines day I broke up with my girlfriend, and the year before that I had to hear about how the girl I wanted slept with someone else because she didn't think I wanted her.
Hey Red......at least you can share your day with us eh? I been there, but it was instant mashed potato and stock cubes for me.
Today though - I left my wife a card as I went out to work, and one for my daughter. I noticed one from each of them for me on the table..but I'll wait 'till tonight - so I can do the whole "Who's this from then eh...? eh?...". Yes, it's crass and commercial, but it can be fun as well. It can also get you 'that date' which might not work on other days.
My wife and I think Valentine's day is a bit lame but we do always use it as an excuse to have a nice long dinner at home or in a restaurant.
Tonight we're staying home because it's a Monday (= lazyness) and we're without a babysitter. But we'll be eating a bunch of little dishes like smoked salmon and foi gras which we'll wash down with champagne.
Being the ladies man I am (cough, right), I'm treating my girly to a night out in the city, complete with revolving skyscrapper resturant, and a nice hotel with a sauna room. My relationship was 5 years in the making, so I hope none of you get discouraged over single day dissapointments today. All the advice I can give you, is that if you truely want the day to go well romanticly, is to use it as a simple stepping stone to start a relationship, not to simply get action today.
That was they gheyest things I've ever said. FYI, the US government does'nt even view it as a holiday, bah..
I for one, got Tivo and taken out to a fancy dinner Saturday night. And, the best part, I didn't have to pay for any of it! Well, the subcription to the Tivo service, but that's besides the point. Tivo is beautiful. Who knows, knowing the boyfriend he'll have something planned for when he gets home.
Well, as for me, there's no romance in my life at this time. That's not to say I'm unhappy 'cause I'm not.....but a significant other would be nice. The right lady may still be out there...who knows. Bottom line....there is hope for all of us.
Me? I said happy valentines day to my girlfriend over the phone, then sent her my midterm essay to edit. Luckily she's not big into the "holiday", but my mom was sure to be like "omg you didn't send her an eCard or something?!"
Wife was throwing up all day long, couldn't keep any food or liquid down. Which severly dehydrated her. We finaly decided to go to the ER around 7pm so she could get an IV stuck in her to replenish her liquids. After about 5 hours of waiting in the waiting room with nearly 30 other people we were seen. They took real good care of her, which was a huge relief.
It wouldn't have been such an emergency but she's 11 weeks pregnant, so it was a bit of a life and death situation for the unborn.
Long ago in sixth grade... I made a special valentine for a girl I liked named jenny.. After school I put my heart shaped letter with a piece of chocolate taped on in her locker. I think it read something like "I like you alot"
Then the next day, I got a valentine in my locker! It was "from" Jenny, but then i later found out that some other girls were just messin with me and fordged her name. ( they did this because they knew I liked jenny and were friends with her, obviously my note was public to them)
So it hurt a bit. I didnt really care too much.
However!.. A week later, after a thurday night school function with kids and parents. Jennys Dad had talked with my mom. My mom then told me what Jennys dad said. "Jenny was real flattered about the note, and that she'd probably keep it forever."
