So I just upgraded to max 7 and boy is it great! The only think that really bothers me is that I can't seem to figure out how to do precise rotations with the rotate tool. In max 4.2 when animating, you would always rotate to a flat number. Now when using the rotate tool, it always rotates to a decimal number, but even worse is that if you undo the rotation and try to hit that same decimal again, you can never do it. Same thing happens whe moving from one keyframe to another. This is really annoying cause it means that your positions aren't always the same so if you're trying to line something up, like the first and last frames for example, you get a bad wobble effect when playing the animation. I know you can specify a precise rotational value with the X Y Z coords at the bottom tool bar, but sometimes these don't rotate around the proper axis that you want.
Is there anywhere I can specify for the rotate tool to go back to the precise non decimal numbers of Max 4.2 ?
I looked in the preferences for a while but couldn't find anything.
Thanks!

You can also rightclick on the snaptoggle button to open the Grid and Snap settings. Here you can define just how many degrees the snap strength should be.
But I was more thinking of other frames in between.
Thanks guys!
