head models part 2 : electric boogaloo

cranked out another head for fun, a monster this time. It's based on a sketch i did at the dallas sketchgroup that i modified a bit. Was trying to go for the disturbing/creepy look rather than a pants-shitting super scary look for this one.
This afternoon The_Bird noticed i hadn't put anything blatantly resembling sexual organs in this like i tend to do with most of my work, so i did what any reasonable person would. i punched him in the mouth, stole his wallet and then made a right proper vagina mouth for this fellow (complete with dripping goo), so kudos to him for that.

I think it's already disturbing enough, without a full body. Who knows what kinda sexual organs this trench monkey would have.

jeffro : could just be the render, at full bright his eyes are more cataract'ish theres a bit of blowout going on in that shot though. the eyes actually when through a number of different colors before i eventually settled on white. they were black at one point but it just didn't contrast enough with dark, bruised eyelids which i was very set on keeping, and red eyes just made it too OMG DEMON.

before i posted this i have to say i wasn't so sure of the general design and if i'd pulled off what i wanted to do, but judging from everyone's reactions i guess it seems to work so thats a relief.
I don't find it particularly disturbing (except your use of sexual organs as inspriration. Which has more to do with the artist than the art

swampbug - i figure this thing lives underground and is a half step evolution/mutation to something almost completely blind, so i dont think its eyes see much more action than what its got. Seeing it with bugged out eyes could be interesting, i might just play around with it.
poop - i shifted the high value pink parts to blue which i think helped a lot, good call
rooster - hmm what a male would look like, i didn't even think about that, but seeing you mention it has gotten the wheels turning.
