Apparently, boredom and a complete lack of enthusiasm makes for great 3d art. Also obvious is the fact that you are doing something, which contradicts boredom, and just so happens to be your passion, which should excite you. Many artists are busting their asses trying to reach your level of skill. So stop acting so depressed, or stop being so damn good at what you do. You've already used this thread title. Looking really nice Soul. I would go in and make her hair a bit higher poly however. its gonna look extremely chunky, when those edges reveal the bends in the texture, compared to the smoothness of her face. And next time, please weld the two halves so we can see a good 3/4 view.
Could i get a copy of your talent on a floppy disk? >_> <_< i think its a guy btw just by the hairstyle... You should realy post more of your stuff more often, i rarely see you post your stuff, but when you do, it is just plain awesome.. stay bored if it keeps you posting more work :P
Well, If it's a guy the top of the forehead needs to be pushed back, since the reason it looks like a woman right now is the forehead is straight. Mens foreheads slope back, womens go straight up.
Cool...nice modelling Soul...the shape of the eyes are spot on nice style to them...would I be correct in saying that it's a male?....I reckon so cos' of the jaw line it's too harsh to be a female's jaw line, but apart from that nice start..like it lots...lok forward to your next update...
Yeah thats looking nice man. Although theres something funny about her eyebrows. Doesn't really look like hair. And I think youve gone too dark with the eyeshadow.
So hopefully the textures will set the record straight that it is a FEMALE head.
But I have to admit, though, the mesh looks a bit boy'ish. Could've been the hair.
Still needs work, though. Pores, eyebrows, and perhaps more color variation (There wasn't any in the ref I used - but I'm pretty sure it was just make-up/post editing).
Hahahah
You should've came in today. I brought 'her' in.
She has these really thin eyebrows. I may have to paint it in as a solid line rather than trying to define the individual hairs. It looks blotchy and way too light.
Just add some colour then... at the moment they're just... grey... paint some of the flesh tone into the eye white, just a little, maybe shifted a little toward the red end of the spectrum. That might look a little more realistic.
And a 1-pixel pure white highlight somewhere is always fun
Soul: Try showing more of the inner eyelids on the bottom (and maybe top a lil) Just that pink fleshy inner eyelid usually helps to bring eyes to life a bit more. Possibly darken the eyes as well. If that doesn't work, maybe try taking some of the shadow out of the upper eyeslid surrounding the iris? Not sure any of that will help you great work.
ps: I agree with MoP usually eyes are never really noticebly white, try greyish pink ya.

Nice mesh though. It is fairly obviously female...
Are those re-used ears, or modelled from scratch? Did you use reference?
When you'll get bored next time make a good video tut for the community
Oh...and top notch work as usual

love,

It's strange how much of her head "disappears" in the shading. The head looks much more narrow in the flatshade shots.
/me loves himself for Angelina
Nice to be in the office today? muhahahahah

Ears are wonky, too.
jeffro: You mean the white areas of the eyes?

Bastard! Yeah, but at least theres another 'her' that I dont have to deal with. ;-)
I agree about the whites of the eyes. And I always knew it was a chick of course
I'm a bit lost as to what to add to the whites of the eyes. Suggestions?
I can't add veins or anything ultra fine... I'm only working with a 64x32 here.
