that's prett funny the way he goes on about nintendo being inventive, oh yeah 20 diferent bloody mario games, ten pokemon games and all those sodding zelda games is real innovative innit?

They are innovative, they just use the same characters but if you compared e.g. Mario Golf and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga you'd notice that these games have nothing in comon except for that annoying "plumber". Zelda: Four Swords isn't comparable with Zelda: Wind Waker, either. Nintendo suffers from extreme branding but the games themselves are still pretty varied (except for those Mario Party games but they were outsourced to Hudson so they're not really Nintendo's work). And besides, many people (not you but others) manage to claim that Nintendo is overdoing it with the sequels, turn around and praise the uniqueness of the likes of GTA:SA, Halo 2 and Jak 3.
