I dont get the glowing tops of the pockets. Why do you want your thigh to be glowing? Than again why would you want your head lit either... as it the one exposed area that can get you killed the fastest.
looks cool either way.
Looking forward to the game btw.
Anyway... looks slick there, tex. The eyes look a bit odd though. They are consistent on both the male and female, so it could be a style choice, but they seem to be missing... upper eyelids?
btw- love the super brick gun there.
Any other PC'ers working on this game? Is Stfate on it?
By the way, glowing lights is SO Q3. Hahahaha
nice to see you posting on the new boards Austin and it is particularly nice to see how far you've come during the interim. this is a very nicely polished, professional looking piece and i'm sure it'll make a great box cover. i've been enjoying the Pariah art direction from what i've seen of it and am looking forward to seeing the characters in game. i hope once the game's been out you'll post some more of your work for it
i think my one favorite bit of the piece is the guy's hand. looking just at that it definitely reads as photorealistic.
Austin: great image, It's on my desktop for a while now
Austin, did you do CS models long ago?
I think it's interesting as the hand feels like the central piece of the image due the color values.
Very strong.
Keep up the great work
Keep up the good work.. I cant wait to see the final product..
godzero: the glowing stuff is for visibility purposes in game. Trying to shoot or spot black models in a game isn't fun for anyone
daz: postwork includes some scratch work on his armour, the rounding out of the polys around the edges of the image, and the background and logos etc, thx
gauss: hey man, thanks, nice to be posting again been gone for a while. Virdog is here, plz convince him to start wearing pants to work, if you can.
JBoskma: thank you, very kind of you ^^
adambrome: ty, I sure did, hehe
kdr_11k: she is infected with a virus in game of some sort
the_bird: brian noon vibe? ps- love your sketch work youve posted, ive been keeping an eye on it, really imspiring work man.
BludStane: time frame was _really_ tight, as I had to remake these from previous versions that didn't get used for one reasons or another. So about 5 days each for mesh/uvs/textures. Months later I left myself some polish time available and spent 2 days adding as much polish as poaiblle to the more importan meshes in the game, including these 2.
I mentioned the maps I believe.. 1024x1024 for the body, and 512x512 for the head.
Hunter: my man! whats up Hunter! nice to see you around still bro, hope everythings going well with you and your family. Much appreciated.. and ill be lucky if i get my copy in the same year as its release. =P
Heres a smooth render of the image, and an older promo render of Karina:
The game design is great, that looks like a little "final fantasy", and I very want to test the map editor on my xbox!
Top-notch work!
Keep up the good work, keep that bar high
