Is there a clear, reliable (tested) tutorial for setting up the ragdoll physics on an HL2 character model? If it is part of a 3DS Max pipeline, all the better. Some students I'm working with are having problems getting the set up to work.
I've found these three incase no one has tried them. The first is Max. I'm not sure if there is much of a difference between character and prop ragdolls. Between these three, something should work.
I accualy just finaly finished figuring out the process paul. I'm going to write a tutorial on the workflow from max to HL2 including QC information. Should have a simple one up before tomorrow.
Wow. My class has been having quite a bit of trouble with figuring out the qc files for characters. This tutorial will probably help us a great deal. Thank you for writing that tutorial, Mr. McBride. (sorry if you don't like being called that, I'm new around here and that's how I address people I don't really know.)
Gah, now you've made me feel old. I'm 22. As for that tutorial helping, the leader of my mod group seemed happy to have that info, and the professor at least seemed interested. I'm working on the animations, and leaving the exporting to those who understand the compiling process.
