Just finished up the mesh for this so I figured I could start a thread. This is my attempt at a more realisitc character as apposed to the comic style I've done in the past. He's supposed to fit in a fantasy/LoTR world and be a scout/assassin. Poly count is around 5700 triangles including accessories.
*update* I've significantly reduced the amount of polies in the shin area.
I like where your going with this model, great definition on the biceps, my only problem is the lower legs, it seems like they would snap under the pressure of the rest of his body, beef them up a bit.
i really like this guy but there are some proportional problems. the top of his head should be higher. also his legs are too short and like MikeF said, his lower legs are too skinny.
I'll reiterate what the others said about the legs. The lower legs seem weak. I also the think shoulders are a little too broad. For the face, the lips are very puckered, and the eyebrows are high. He has a "should I kiss you" facial expression.
Overall it's coming out well. Keep up the good work man.
The body is turning out very nice, but the face kinda bugs me. It appears very child-like and inexperienced (scars only make it look like a cut up kid which is a big on the gross side). Something more lean and rugged might be the way to go as it looks like he's still carring baby-fat.
Now, if you really want to push it, Google up images of Tyson Tomko.
