We are currently looking for a full time FX Artist.
Day to day activities will include:
* Creation of dazzling Characters, Villains and World Effects using our proprietary FX engine
* Ideation, Implementation, and management of in-game SFX
* Works closely with Animation dept. and Art Director
Necessary Skills and Experience:
* 2+ years of game industry experience working with FX
* Strong problem solving skills
* Exhibits solid knowledge of motion, color and timing
* Proficient with 3D Studio Max
* Must have texture rendering skills
* Fighting/Action game experience a plus
* Animation experience a plus

About Cryptic Studios
Cryptic Studios, Inc., located in Los Gatos, California, was established in July of 2000 and is an independent developer of massively multiplayer online games for the PC and next generation consoles. Its first game, City of Heroes, is currently in development and will launch a virtual world where thousands of people play simultaneously, take on the role of superheroes, fight villains and help create a dynamic story in a visually-stunning, 3-D graphical world.
