SDK (without cuffs)
http://www.planetgargoyle.com/newfirebrand.zip
I'll make a cuffed one soon because he'll look skinny without them.
Remember this mesh I did not too long ago?
I was praised lots for making this guy
Looking back on the model, and with the sprite, I realize how off and crappy the model was, errors all over, arms suck, etc, so I've started to remake him from scratch today
He'll be for UT2004 and custom animated.

I notice the interface.
How do you get to export models created from blender into UT2k4??
I don't believe there is a plugin to export into UT2k4 but probably the use of seperate 3D programs to do the job.
Cheap: Why are you redoing that character this often? I realize I'm not the pinnacle of variety either with all those anime chick models but at least I don't try a character more than once or twice. Should try some variety, if you need to make more Gargoyles how about giving them armor and stuff so you don't always model nude ones (and the concepts look more interesting)?
aesir - that's because his arms are like that, it beats having no shoulders at all (like my older model). Refer to:
The shot was in perspective view so it may be a little odd, also he's 1,700 triangles so far (much less than my old previous 4000 tri models). Hopefully the face and the wings will make a impact on that, aiming for 2800 triangles total.
'sides, a testicrotch should be good enough to make everyone happy
However, its really awkward and annoying that you took the time to place a lot of pollies in the chest...and yet the legs dont. It just looks odd. I suggest optimizing the chest area, but aside from that, much more accurate and intimidating. However, i also feel you are emphasizing the muscles too much, though you might be wanting to do that, so if so, then ignore me
nice one
Anyway, fixed some porportion errors, and started on the head (i'll probably scrap the head and start over it quick anyway, looks dorky from the side). Arms look very thin from the side still, and I plan on buffing that out.
look at some anatomy reference to make some nice bulging muscles on his back,to match the sodtof defenition you have on the front ,
overall , i think its a massive improvement , just make sure his wings are big enough
I would really recommend you take a step back from doing gargoyles with crazy proportions and learn human anatomy. Once you have human anatomy down, you can come back and your gargoyles will be sure to have much more solid looking musculature.

the gif you posted has the muscles serperated in to serveral major well defined forms, you should define the forms better. take a look at EarthQuake's last couple of heads look at how the forms and lines of the face flow into one another.
i think John Warner posted a thread a little while ago about muscle defenition on the torso .. take a look at it if you havnt already.
By the way guys - i'm making two versions of this model, one being real low poly for q3a and other older games. This one you see currently is for ut2k4 and it's still around 1,800 tris or so.
Therm - he's cartoon, and a monster, I don't have to go for all out definition or to be extremely anatomically correct, I could just skin the needed detail on or so. Ignorance is bliss I guess, and excuses are wonderful!

I also changed the crotch to "sink back" instead of popping out. Dunno what "kind" of crotch anyone would prefer for a naked humanoid-ish creature, but anyways

That being said, the gargoyle thing dosen't do anything for me, but I'm glad it inspires your passions to continue your work, I do see definitive improvement everytime you post.
I miss character modeling..

I loaded this thread expecting a raging hardon, I am very disappointed.

2bad.
If you want a gargoyle with a upcurved, uncut, blue-belled hardon, see Igneon.
Btw, have you ever tried to model something other than a garg? All i have ever seen from you are gargs... You could at least do one different character, make it like a garg hunter/slayer or some sort and then go back to gargs for a long while :P
TEETH ADDED
I need to stop these tweaks and get on with the feet already
some wacom thing i did related to the model but not really relevant to progress other than the muscle build i am trying to achieve
im looking forward to seeing this finnished ...
I would really like to see you spend as much time on the texture as the mesh, and I'll think you'll have a really nice model here.
Grand total of 2,886 triangles.
Reduced his polyage to 2842 tri and uvwmapped him as well as giving him a shitty (for now) seamy skin, will obviously be improved.
http://www.planetgargoyle.com/newfirebrand.zip incase anyone wants to take a shot at skinning him :P
that skin is already looking much better than your last one though. you definitely are improving, good job
