Not game related at ALL, but the only 3d I get to do at work...

It is a 3d model of The Wynn Las Vegas, the newest and most exclusive luxury resort hotel in town.

The final output will be the model as a point cloud of bubbles in a large cube of crystal-glass for Mr. Steve Wynn himself, so no textures.



It ended up mostly being a simple exercise in modeling architecture with poor/no reference.

Hey, mesh smooth on the cylindar? I'm saying it with a question mark because that pillar could very well be designs with flat faces like that. Either way this is really really cool. Very simple, I love it.

not much I can peck at, Altho if this is non gameart(which I thought U said it was) I would beef up the poly's on the sides. ATM in two of the shots you can see hard edges, add more poly's to give them a sexy sleak look. Theres also the posibility the building plans your basing your work of are blocky as well... then I blame the architect hehe. GJ scooby, still perfer your half naked women work tho

ahh, so this was that mystery project you mentioned in the channel. hope you can snap a pic of the finished point cloud thingy, that should look pretty ace

Adam: yes the sides are faceted like that on the real structure. 6 faces/windows.

The people who produce the crystals in our company are having some calibration issues with thier machines, so it may be a week or so before I see a finished product.
