Hi! Used last weekend modeling in Silo, had to do other stuff lately (still busy looking work here in Finland...)
- These were a kind of practice, i only used quads (to make sure these could be used in Zbrush), no triangles or n-gons
- polycount for trex is 3000 quads and about 3050 quads for bat.
-I didn't use any bg images (as i didn't find any...) and i tried to capture the overall proportions and bigger details... details like nostrils are still quite simple, and i think i will keep them that way... (see wires)
- I started both models saturday, first started with trex, and at night i modeled 95% of the vampire bat. roughly 20h for dino and critter took maybe 12h
CnC Welcome!
P.S.
I'm currently looking for any modeling freelance jobs, low or hipoly or anything which has something to do with 3d graphics!

- Yep, i was going to and will, but don't know yet when i have time. IMO Zbrush does relatively crappy job making UVs - GUV wastes lot's of map space, and other problems too.
-That's why i have done unwrapping of models manually - takes times.
- I did UVs this way for my skull study, and it is still missing zbrushing

- Hehe thanks! too bad it is so hard to get anything but no-pay 3d work here in Finland - Very few jobs here
- Had time today to start with zbrush.
- Rendering has no perspective... it might look bit strange, haven't changed proportions or anything, i kinda forgot how to adjust perspective in z
- Only geo used, no color or UVs yet...
Awesome S-S.
- Do that - Zbrush is very easy to use if you use it for displacement painting/colors, there is not that much you need to know, other than how to import mesh, select brush and it's profile (alpha) and then it is just drawing!

- Yes, i might do that. I already have dinoasaur leg animation setup ready, including muscle/fat effects
