Hey all, I'm part of a team making an original game called Jack Kalibur. Its a sci-fi RPG with some pretty cool gameplay features and a kick*** storyline. We are currently in our alpha stages of development and need some modeling and programming support. We already have made our own basic physics engine and are stilll working on the actual game engine. We have a good deal of our concept's already done as well as quite a few models done. We however have no character models so thats a downside. I was hoping maybe a few people on these boards would like to contribute a little by making us a character model. It doesnt have to be rigged, we are implementing a system where characters create their own animations . It doesnt even have to be textured, just has to be made . We have people who can texture it if you don't think you have the time or the energy to do that for us. We have proper concept for the character models needed already done. We could also use some programmers and regular modelers! Programmers we need alot because our engines arent finished yet.....and they need to be sometime soon in the future wink.gif. We are however around 48 or so percent finished with the project, mostly concept art and object models however. We havent managed to get our hands on a character modeler as of yet. Thats why I'm posting here though smile.gif

So far we have around 16 members on the dev. team, not too much but pretty decently sized for the time being. 4 level designers, 2 webmasters, 2 object modelers, 3 graphics artists, 5 programmers, and outside of the dev. team are around 5 human resource personnel. We all have experience in our own areas. Some of us are fresh out of college, most are very experienced with mods, and a few have had professional experience with game development.

Vision Statement:
Jack Kalibur is a post apocalyptic sci-fi game which is set in the year 2174 AD. The main character, Jack Kalibur, searches for the meaning of his existence throughout the story. He is a genetically enhanced superbeing who is ultimately a leathal weapon of unknown origin. Technology at this point is low due to the recent destruction of the majority of the human race approximately 130 years ago. Alien bounty hunters and mercinaries are abundant amongst the corrupt human government. The main character, Jack Kalibur, will have his own ship, weapons, inventory and party members. This ship will take the player around the galaxy and back, to many different worlds, some uncharted, some booming with activity. Systems will include a realistic physics package amongst other regular gameplay features such as super speed and super strength as well as advanced third person melee and ranged combat moves. Other features will include the ability to steal or buy vehicles and items. Items, characters and vehicles will be fully customizeable both in appearance and stats. The story will include many plot twists throughout the main quest as well as many sidequests to keep the player occupied. The story will consist of 6 parts and roughly 10-15 chapters/missions per part of the game.

Here is some work thats been done so far, Our engines arent complete yet so no ingame screenshots yet. If we can get some programming assistance, they will be finished sooner:
