Do any of you know how to use cut brushes in Milk Shape 3D. What I mean is how do I cut a 3D section out of a 3D shape by intersecting 2 brushes and cutting the shape of one out of the other?
Simply don't do it, it a bad habit anyways, and leads to badly constructed meshes. That's why most modeling apps don't have that option and I guess Milkshape (as bad as it is) is one of them.
Blender has booleans but they're pretty messy at the moment. Either way, with MS3d primitive modeling is a nightmare since it lacks fundamental features like quads and the resulting tools like cut, edgeloop cut, edgeloop and faceloop selection, etc. It also lacks full perspective working (in most apps there is no difference between an ortho view and a perspective view, in Milkshape there is) and is therefore really awful for more complicated meshes. Yes, you can make great art in Milkshape (well, you'll lack weighted vertices and the bone limit is so low you'll hit it if you try to compensate) but you can also write an entire 3d game in assembly language. It's time consuming and very easy to mess up.
I made that in MilkShape, so I don't know if you can dismiss it entirely......note the critizism by Paul Steed.
Basically, MilkShape has a Edit Mesh system as opposed to a Edit Poly system. Edit Mesh is Tri Poly. Edit Poly is Quad Poly. Quad Poly systems use Edge Loops in Max or Split Polygon Tool in Maya.
The terminolgy 'brushes' thru me off.
Basically, what you're asking for is how do you cut a single polygon face into mulitple faces in MilkShape. That requires spliting vertices and turning edges.
In other packages people prefer using Edge Loops. Split Polygon Tool in Maya does the samething.
[Edit]If you wanna get mad at a software, try making something in MetaCreations InfiniD[/Edit]

thank you for the advice, and the correction, i think you understand what im trying to ask (even if i screwed up the terminology) so if you could help
Basically, Press the Shift and ALT button at same time - In Perspetive View Select 2 Vertices on the Same Path - Goto Vertex - Divide Edge.
You can use the CapLock button to rotate view in Perspective View. As long as the Shift and ALT button pressed down you can select multiple vertices in Perspective View, or multiple faces in Ortho View.
Press the Shift and ALT button and Select 2 adjacent triangle polygon faces in ortho view - Select Face - Turn Edge for desired symmetry.
It looks like you know what you're doing, so I'm not certain if you already know this?

Those are pretty much all you need to do most 3d tasks, and they are both free.
If you need more than that look here, but it might cost a bit for some of the alternatives:

The same method that Paul Steed uses in his book could be applied to MilkShape, but the Edit Mesh system is now considered archaic. People like the Edit Poly system.

Brushes are simply boxes that one can shape into whatever rectangular form that is needed.
