First off let me say I think the design is pretty elegant. Heres my two cents: I agree with the idea to use a plane with transparency for the teeth. Also, I think you should make some changes to the structure. The head has a lot more polygons than the body. (My personal style is to have a relatively even spread) Id say take a few unnecessary polygons out of the head and add a little more detail to the legs and body. The highlighted areas are just a few examples where you could take out some polys and not really loose any detail. The feet in particular should have a little more definition around those claws. You also may want to consider adding more detail to the torso and/or legs, perhaps some muscles to augment future skin-age.
Looking nice, though as already mentioned, a bit poly heavy in some places.

I reckon your might look good with a little tail like on these.
I dont know what sucks more, the fact that my model accidently looks like something from ghostbusters, or that the ghostbuster character looks better than mine *sigh*
dude dont rip on vinz. I watch ghostbusters just for these bad boys. Your design has potential. I agree a bit of a tail would help. The face reminds me of "critters" now that might make you depressed.

about the only thing this guy's missing is one of those nub-tails that some dogs have when they get their tail clipped at a yound age.
