Actually, I left Pandemic back in November. I just had to get out of LA. Awesome company though, it was VERY hard to leave. I'm currently up north at Cryptic Studios. As for the shotgun sound problem. You are the 2nd person I have read about having that problem...odd. My Xbox has a tough time reading the game disc though, I think my drive is dying.
mrrogers, I thought Cryptic was in Austin? Oh well. Hey, great work. You hate LA huh, should have come down to OC. Much more laid back and less crouded.
We have a mutural publisher in common BTW. I work for the Collective putting out the Ep3 game.
Did you work on Battle Front?
Cool - I really like these. Nice meshes and really nice, detailed textures on both of the guys. Love all the little touches like the badges, bandages, grenades etc. which help to give the designs a very interesting look without seeming overly busy and confusing. The top one sorta reminds me of Tank Girl for some reason
What sort of specs were these using? And are these the characters that appear ingame - in the PS2 version?
that swede kicks all kinds of ass. grats on the success of Mercenaries to you guys!
i like the human target shirt! that was, a lot like my VERY first skin i made for quake 2 years ago. me and my friend made the "RGB clan" that consisted of two members, HAha! oh shit.. his name was "human target" and mine was "green.bacon". those were the days man.
very nice, im thinkin about buying it, looks like a fun game.
these shots remind me of that counterstrike replacement player model you made back in the day, very clean, consistent style you have.
These are great, maybe add some more depth to the colors though. I can see you used very detailed overlays for cloth stitching and what not, but the overall color of big areas like the jeans, skin, and shirts could use less white (dodge tool?) and more saturated color highlights.
real nice work u got there. id have suggested to make a few black elements more black.. just to get some contrasty areas in there. kneepads for example or gloves
Ironbearxl - These textures are meant for display on the tv and better yet on the ps2, so they were desaturated a bit more then I would have liked, The ps2 renders colors differently then the source so I would have to constantly go back and forth from XSI to the in game results and balance it accordingly.
qubism - I would have loved to get more black elements in there but again, with the tv, you want to stay away from blacks because they tend to get darker in game. The values that you se on those textures are all darker in game. Reds and blacks are touchy colors.
Ah, yes. This was a joke concept piece that I did when we were roughing out ideas for unlockable costumes. Mattias, our Swede Art Lead (hey!) requested a tougher look.

Lovely game though, insanely fun. Glad to see you're working for Pandemic now - they're a great developer.
