Leading Southern California developer seeks a Game Programmer for PSP
Location: West Coast, Southern California
Leading game developer on the West Coast is seeking the best and brightest game developers in the games industry to help build their pipeline for their next generation platform. They are now moving into full production on a brand new, original, high-profile project funded by a top-5 publisher slated for the Playstation Portable (PSP).This studios 30+ years of combined design / game experience have allowed them to lay out the core design framework for their project.
CURRENT PROJECT
Unannounced Character Action Game (Sony PSP)
This is not a launch title for the PSP, so they are going to be taking their time on the game. It's an original spin on a hugely successful franchise and is backed by a Top 5 Publisher in the US and abroad.
GAME PROGRAMMERS
Must have loads of experience, preferably in action-platform console games.
Experience in AI/Enemy behavior programming (character action games a plus)
Good personality is essential (will interact with artists/designers to get the levels done and will also potentially out other, less experienced guys)
Self-motivated and very proactive (need be able to drive the process, can't wait around to be told what to do)
Our gameplay programmers are central to the creation of our levels, b/c they drive the process and
Push the content through the pipeline to make sure they have the stuff they need when they need it.
It's a position with a lot more responsibility than the equivalent at other companies.
