A new release from softimage. an update to their XIS Exp for HL2 along with the valvesource mod tools which adds the nice ability to import and export vmf files (aka uncompiled maps made with hammer).

starting to get really pissed that i ever bought xsi 4 foundation... this is the second iteration of free xsi with hl2 tools.. better yet that the export tools dont show up when i install the mod tool and it's valve addon.. even better that there's no way to get that addon to work in a fully legit version of xsi...

hm... Are there actually any HL2 model files we can import into XSI? The old Softimage webpage for EXP claimed that example models would be coming 'soon', but that was sometime back in March.

Nostradamus.. do tell.. cause myself and a few other 4.2 Foundation users have not been able to get it to work.. installed, and nothin shows up for either an option of smd exporting or any of the registration method mention on the softimage site.

the new rev of the mod tool has been released by softimage...
tested it myself, and it now works with XSI Foundation (4.2)..
huzzah~~~
