Brittany Murphy and Bruce Willis are great casting!
As unmoved as I've been by most of the series, the movie seems to be intent on covering the gems and I can't wait to see it. That the filmmakers have chosen to take a risk by emulating the style more closely than they probably had to is a promising start.
I never read That Yellow Bastard, but I have the other two stories. Personally, I think Clive Owen is a totally off-the-wall choice for Dwight, but I'm game to see how it turns out as I like things Owen has been in. Marv looks fantastic...
I've never read Sin City, but watching the trailer makes me want to. I think this film is going to start a chain of movies shot all digitally except for the actors(called backlot or something).
I haven't seen Casshern, I didn't know it was completely green screen. And how do you know people are going to like this movie? Although I already think I am.
a little bit worried about it, as the little i saw seems a bit too indulgent to the comic book's drawing style rather than being a screenplay.
Frank Miller is one of my favourite comic book writers/ artist, and i have a lot of his work, but comics, a bit like books, have a way higher information to time ratio and it seems very difficult for creaters to edit things down.
for example, the radio plays of Douglas Adams 'Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy', took about a page of text from the book and edits each into about a line of script.
This seems painfully difficult of people making storyboards to understand and have started to grow a pet pieve of people making blinking so obvious... or at least back to frank miller, a lot of the hand drawn ink work and pauses in the imagery simply may not be easy to translate.....
Wow! This movie looks like it's going to be great, I love that they're keeping the Film Noir style for it. Though for some reason I thought Mickey Rouke was dead...Must have misheard that one.
Man that trailer is awesome.. the movie looks like it'll be fun. Never read the books, though the trailer makes me think I should change that. Mickey looks awesome in this movie..
after having seen Clive Owen in more stuff (especially Closer), I am very interested to see him do Dwight. an all star cast, no doubt about it (with mercifully minimal Josh Hartnett screen time)

I love it apart from Yellow Bastard looking like a star trek reject.
It looks cool I cant wait for april !!
Oh and thankfully good old Josh appears only at the start and the end of the film ...

"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" would be the movie that already started that chain.

Actually, I very much liked Sky Captain.
Sin City has a better cast though, and is based on far better artwork. Should be kick-arse.
I'm also loving the song in the trailer.
