Hi there !
We are currently developping Warsow: it's a FREE game based on the QFusion engine (a Quake2 engine which supports every Quake3 format... same textures/shaders/maps/models/etc.). As it's distributed freely, we've done all the art stuff from scratch. It's mainly cyberpunk themed with a good comic look (celshading is used for maps and models). Gameplay-wise, it's a very fast FPS game, with a lot of emphasis on movements and tricks : players can straffe jump, bunny hop, walljump, dash and dodge, etc. You can't catch your breath !
Our current deadline is for January 10th, if we can finish something good at that time Warsow will hopefully be released on a french video game magazine DVD in February.
We need some help from experienced modelers and/or texturers to meet this deadline.
Of course, even if you can do just a small part of it we are still very interested by your help !!!
Here's a non-exhaustive list of things that must be done for January 10th :
- add black outlines on some models (bigger black model + reverse normals)
- fix the 3rd person view position of some existing weapon models
- add some weapons animations
- make a few weapon textures
- add some creative stuff if you want (models, textures...)
URLs time !

1. Is the game opensouce?
2. Can you add custom models to the freeware game??
I am thinking that my characters I modeled found a new home.
2. Yes, and it supports Quake3 format! (legs/torso/head separation etc.)
What format is used to make the map?
not exactly sure.
