Looking for LAN PC Co-Op Arcadish game

Anyone have suggestions for a co-op fighting/adventure game thats LAN compatible on PC (preferably Teen or G rated)? You know, where a multi button joystick is actually preferable? I was looking at the new TMNT 2, but I didnt see any mention of LAN compatibility (4 players on one system.. ouch - Well that and the EBgames guy warned me away from it).

Hmm.. I will try, but wasn't looking for 2d sprite based.

Yea, its really kinda simple/repetitive. No big bosses, cant full screen it, and it slows down with too many sprites.

well... not exactly for the kids and fairly difficult, but the Alien Swarm mod for ut2k4 is the veritable cat's meow of free co-op action on the PC.

well it's more of a blaster, but it's definitely arcade-y. top-down perspective. my brothers and i had loads of fun play it.

dunno the capabilities of emulators nowadays, and if there capable for LAN play, but you can dl some favorite ROMs online and try those out if its possible
