I'm modelling and texturing Umagon from Command and Conquer for the mod entitled C&C:Reborn. Right now she weighs in at about 1800 tris, max polycount is at 2000-2500 so i may add more detail. I'd like crits if at all possible. Thanks!
Looks good!
I would make the polys where her kneecaps are a little bit bigger (taller) because then they will deform nicer when the knee bends. The same for the elbow polys at the back of the arm.
I am not sure what that small line of polys are around her waiste are for but to me it seems like you could remove those since they don't add anything.
for the amount of polys you have on her, she could have alot more shape to her. She is quite boxy and her stature is verrry stiff, she needs a bit more S-curve goin on, just look harder at female anatomy to really flesh her out.
Yeah she is boxy isn't she. All my female models tend to be on the boxy side. I think her arse needs to stick out a little more, give the spine more of a curve. I added the line around her waist to give the pants thickness and differentiation.
Fanatastic work mate. Keep up the good work. My advice, to you,is to take the comments from the other members into account to the best of your abilituy. Until, then, as I said earlier, keep up the good work
She a mutant created by Tiberium? If so I thought Westwood always did those mutant types with these odd green spores on their skin to reiterize (sp?) the fact that it was Tiberium that created the mutant. Just an idea. I'm a huge fan of the C&C universe.. lookin' forward to this when its complete.
Well if somebody can mod on HL2, I am ready to release all models to work on a source project after this is done... Just let me know if you are interested.
Thanks for the input. You both brought up good points and I will look into it right away. I was just looking at the knees today and I saw the exact same thing.
So, after having the texture be corrupted and having to start over, here is an update on the model w/texture. I'm not happy with the tattoos so those'll probably be changed at some point. Any criticisms are welcome.

Except that, the model is good.
