I use the McAfee virusscan and firewall from the security center suite and I like them a lot. Never had any conflicts with any programs (Max 5 and 6 included) and they seem to work since I never have any virusses because it picks them out right away.
Worked at Frisk Software for 4 years and I can safely say that you should not use their product(F-Prot Antivirus) unless you want to manually assist your anti-virus program to disinfect your computer.
Dood, save your money. Tech TV recommends AVG and it's free. They say it's as good as any of the $39.95 ones. They are very current with updates and it works. Period! http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/
All this stuff is free....you should always update your OS at microsoft.
If you're really serious about keeping bugs out of your system, get winpatrol and the sygate firewall too. AVG is the best.....makes McAfee and Norton look like bloated crapware.
Not mentioned yet. I have gone from Norton bloat ware to CA AV. Its alot less annoying. Some programs do cause weird problems as it checks the files when running it (most notably was it made Evil Genius run like 2 frames a second). But it has a "overide" where you can tell it to ignore certain program directories for real time AV (EG worked fine after moving it to this). Note: It still checks these upon a full systems scan, so no worries.
