Just start making things. I don't use those tools, but maybe they come with tutorials, certainly with Help files. Read them, follow the steps. That's a good way to start.

Once you have some art you'd like feedback on, post it in the Pimping and Previews section.

That's a bold statement, and makes it sound like you're not really serious about modeling. Sounds like it just happens to be the next thing on your list.

Do you want to model because it's something you really feel drawn to and you'd like to make a living at someday, or because it happens to be next on the list? If it's the former, then I'd suggest you also start taking traditional art classes while you're learning the software. Knowing how to draw will go a long way in creating great looking models. If it's the later, then know that you'll still be learning to model many years from know, and that you're not likely to move on to the next item on your list any time soon.

the list is huge, 1st was web design and programming... started that serveral years ago and know a lot about it. Next was 3d models... i know how-to draw and im very inclined to learn... i love to create something from nothing and both programing and modeling fit right into the bill.

Im reading some tutorials atm, the 1st step is to learn the program before actually doing anything...

I found this forum while trying to do research on modeling tecnique through poopinmymouth's website. Dont worry, im very very interested and im not one of those who start something they think is cool and then quit a month later.. and sorry for my english (im icelandic)

Sounds like you've got the makings of a great Technical Director. Having someone on a dev team that knows the artistic side and the technical side of 3D is a great asset.

If you have any specific questions once you get into it more, let us know. smile.gif
