I'm surprised no one has posted anything about this movie yet (or maybe I missed it 
). I took my kids to see it this Saturday at the IMax in 3D. It was damn impressive in my opinion. My kids highly enjoyed it.
The detail was great. It's really easy to see when it's 42 stories tall
There were a few spots that I noticed weird stretching, but I realized that I'm probably looking too hard at the details and not enjoying the movie 
My only real complaint is the interaction between objects. It's always bugged me the way that they have models interact in animation movies. When the characters hug, or shake hands, the skin doesn't flew or move. It looks like blocks of wood hitting each other. Mabye that's something that will be addressed more in the future
