woah is all i can say. biggest video game release ever, and it surpasses the biggest movie opening ever by 10 million. i expect many more halos to come.
i thought it reached 200 million already. that's insane. my little bro bought it yesterday, and is already knocking on the door begging me to play multiplayer with him. he's one of the biggest Halo fans I know.
course it's not really far to compare to movies, since even the most expensive film isn't 50 bucks a pop... but still that's a very significant figure. hopefully it contributes to games being more of a cultural force, not just making greedy investors wanting to get in on the gravy train.

It doesnt matter how much it costs. Higher cost = less customers and lower cost = more customers, now some marketing guy has to find the most profitable point and for movie tickets its lower price than games.
Wow amazing figures. Is it being released for xbox or ps2 or a pc version? Forgive my ignorance I know nothing about Halo. Thank you Rick, and also thank you for the information on alot, I have used that word, which is not a word; way too many times here and on other forums. Now if we can get Noserider to see the light.
YES MY BRETHEREN!!! NOW WE WILL CERTAINLY ACHIEVE THE RECOGNITION WE DESERVE... ALL THE THINGS WRONG WITH THIS INDUSTRY WILL GO AWAY WE WILL ALL MAKE MILLIONS AND BE FAMOUS!!! YEP.
All i can say is
