I keep getting test and mails from a
@smithbucklin.com
ejobe@smithbucklin.comSIGGRAPH_2005@smithbucklin.com
First two were about paper/animation acceptance. The first one was titled "Test: Participate at SIGGRAPH 2005", whilst the next was titled about "Participate at SIGGRAPH 2005".
I have images turned off, but the gifs used did access the real Siggraph site.
Last one had:
"Hey, dude, it's me ^_^
"
Message:
"Looking forward for a response :P
password for archive: #####"
With
an attached "document.zip" with an jkgqgdxus.scr file in it (virus scanned clean, but didnt open it none the less)
I AFAIK shouldnt be on any list like this.
I finally after posting on cgtalk attempted to open the archive to at least prove concretely one way or another. It certainly was a beagle.h virus which my realtime caught.
So please note, if you get any emails about siggraph_2005 that are not from Siggraph.. promptly DELETE!
Its also kinda sad that a virus maker has so much time to try to attack the CG community.
