Wow what a crying shame. This was the title Id have been working on had I not left the UK. Id verbally accepted an offer from them until an oppurtunity in the US arose. Bad of me I know.
It looked incredible back then ( jeez what, almost 5 years ago now ) and I still think it has enormous potential.
Working on a game for 5 years sucks, but for it to then not even see the light of day must feel indescribable. Gutted for the lads that put so much into this:

What a shame...
Daz: You said no to LionHead??!
Whoah...
Bullfrog/Lionhead/Muckyfoot/Big Blue Box/Intrepid/insert any other developer that offshot from Bullfrog after EA bought them here. I worked for Bullfrog. Whats the difference really?
Anyway, to be precise. No, I said no to Intrepid games. Who were a satellite company. But yeah all under the umbrella of Molyneaux. Joe Rider who set up Intrepid to do BC and myself are old friends from Bullfrog days. So me going to the US didnt piss anyone off. Its all very incestuous in the Surrey, England area when it comes to game dev. Sometimes thats a good thing, sometimes bad
Popoulous2 and Syndicate are among my absolute favourites! xD
Where you around back then? Or am I going too far back?? o_O
The original Syndicate rocks my socks though - no wonder why I downloaded DosBox exclusively in order to run my Syndicate: American Revolt cd.. xD
edit, k nevermind I found it.
Its cancelled.
Its sad that Bc has been cancelled but I know from present experience when a game has been dragging out development for more than 4 years there are problems..
Hopefully everyone can retain there jobs, seems to be allot of companies sliding towards 'chapter 7' in the uk at the moment.
'tis a shame that they couldnt have salvaged what they have and got a decenet game out of it - it seems like this is what happened to the mighty Fable and it still gets the thumbs up from me *shrugs*
i've lost all faith in any thing peter moujklsonex touches.. everything he does promises to be cool and experimental, and then turns out to be a hollow gimick

The pic ste is prity slow but it looked very cool. What was the gist of the gameplay?
Is that Peters fault? Or EA's though Mojo2k? Maybe its his fault for letting EA buy into the company.

EA havent bought into the company. EA is the publisher of Lionhead games. Not a part or whole owner. He sold Bullfrog to EA years ago then buggered off to form Lionhead to make Black & White. Another game that was meant to change life itself and ended up being a gimmick. To be honest, alot of his games ideas are gimmicky to me. Fun toys to play around with for a bit, and then the novelty wears off.
But anyway, I digress. I dont particularly like the bloke. Hes a childish attention whore and he never put his bloody money behind the bar, but EA dont get to tell him what to do or say. He makes those outrageous claims about revolutionary game experiences himself. He's famous for it.
If you search, you'll find a story that he recently apologized to the Fable community for promising them that the game would wank them off and make tea.
Fable is going to be the best RPG Ever
B.C. Is going to be the best Survival Game Ever
Black and White 2 Is going to be the best Stradegy Game ever
and that was basically all in 1 EGM...to me
Though I didn't think Fable was a bad game, it was fun, but it wasn't what he promised. He promised a world that grew with you, what I got was a world that stayed exactly the same while I grew older and older when ever I decided to upgrade myself.
I think the only game that I truely enjoyed of his, that's novelty didn't wear off(Still hasn't), would be Dungeon Keeper, and Dungeon Keeper 2 (Did her write dungeon Keeper 2 aswell?). I was sorta pissed off when I discovered Dungeon Keeper 3 was canceled, though I think it should be picked back up. But that's just me, I have no hand in on what is made or not.
Molyneaux left just before we began production on DK2, so no he had nothing to do with it. You just inspired me to dig out! One thing that was hilarious about working on it, was that we didnt have PC's that were capable of running it in a reasonable framerate! ahaha. So 5 yrs later Ive just thrown a GeForce 6800 ultra at it and its awesome! Woot!
