Awright! Represent! Some of you are waiting and hoping for that UT2004 Polycount server. I believe that is still a possibility...not sure of a date. Personally I'm involved deeply in BF1942 Desert Combat. They have the 3.0 Final Client release out as of 2 days ago. Fileplanet has about 55 min wait so get in line. This release rocks....lots of sound improvements, new vehicles and weapons and the mighty F117A Black Jet. If anyone wants to join me I'm there most evenings in the RCA server.

i was approached by some guys at work that are looking to get some servers put into a data center in columbus ohio on a OC48 line. i told themn i was interested in joining them to run game servers. didnt seem to be an issue, so i'm waiting for them to come back and tell me what's up.

Q3A, with 3 Martian bots. Only thing you need is the Martian model (here on PC). Map rotation is q3tourney1, q3dm1, q3dm2, q3dm4, q3dm5, q3dm6, q3dm11, q3dm12, q3dm8(all my personal fav's of course )

sorry guys been a bit sick lately and havnt really been able to check the board.

Great to see there are some servers around, i am especially looking forward to UT2k4 onslaught, i havnt played it online but it seems like a great game and i couldnt think of anything better than trying it with some polyfraggin mates.

However we are never going to get it together untill someone sets a definate time and place.

I cant choose it this time as i am in and out of hospital all the time so PLEASE someone elese get a time going and i will try and get things to work out for me too.

The good thing about getting ill is not having to go to work, so for the next couple of weeks so i can host a server any time at least for q3a, but i havnt checked that the ports work for UT, perhaps you can help me check that sometime Sal?

Whatever it is great to see that there is going to be some polyfragging comming this way soon

We just need a server.

But we will need at least 12 people for onslaught, otherwise it is no fun... but we could play ctf or DM... or maybe a round of coop Alienswarm?

I prefer OSP but not everyone has that ... however if anyone knows what server settings CleanerWolf had on his old server, that would rule - no rocket self-damage, and instagib railguns a-go-go!

Scott, is that in the standard ut2k4? or in the map pack, i have only played it with the (fist oen by epic?) map pack and there were a couple of small maps that even 4 could play but i guess they are out of the question if not everyone has it

Paul I have most of Boris's (CWs) settings (he gave me an osp.cfg) but i could never get it to work properly, i think i couldnt define a port or get the map rotation to work but i will look into it again, perhaps if you have a good map rotation you could send it to me?

Again, the server I mentioned is pretty open and dedicated. However Im sure the ping wont be the best overseas.

tim, frostbite is one of the vanilla ONS maps, i only have the vanilla OOTB maps atm, no bonus packs etc.

frostbite is like 1 node and the two cores and is set on a frozen over lake.

OK, I ordered UT04 and shall have it by the end of the week. $29 ain't too bad b'cept that I already lost $20 to that sumbitch on eBay. So cool then, kids, next weekend prolly Sunday would be a good day for me. Let's see what happens.

There are 2 bonus packs i think, the official and the community (and poss 3 with the winxp levels), although i havnt been able to find proper links to either of them on the unrealtornament page (anyone help?). What are the editors choice ones scott? and where can i get them? Whatever...

UT2K4 capable and I have downloaded a fair number of custom models.

also as a note I have seen Compf, Magdalena, and Effigy a lot of a few servers. Most notably ...{{{Wicked Whores-ONS}}}... Where i am at most nights after 6 PM Pacific. Maybe not a ot of love for the custom models, but some.. :-)

CBP1, CBP2 vol1, CBP2 Vol2, ECE, 1on1Pack, eXp UT2004 Mappack Round1, FlagPack2004, UTClassics2k4, DDominationPack and CDominationPack.

Imho, all the maps that you will EVER need, are right here in these packs..
Oh, and patch3323 is recommended...

tim: ECE has three new vehicles, new onslaught maps, plus re-jigged ONS maps to support the new vehicles, a couple new player models and other stuff. haven't seen what yet, cos i just played a couple ONS matches...

Holy crapoly, Sniper, ain't heard from you in a coons age. I was just looking over the archives from 2001 and reminiscing about the good ol' days of Q3 & UT. Now we are hoping for a UT2004 server..good lord willing and the creek don't rise. No one's played Q3 in a while but I'm sure a few people will come. As for mods...odds are most will only have the basic 1.32 with vanilla maps....but that'd still be fun for me. Good to hear from ya.

it is a server and alotta hard drives that were bought. It'll be installed during the thanksgiving holiday, so at some point after that we'll be able to run a few tests

No problem waiting....I just swapped out my video cards and put my faster one in the new computer. OMG...it's like twice as fast....from a Radeon 9200 128 mb to a GeForce FX 5500 OC 256 mb. My new 'puter has an AMD 64 3200+ and a gig of PC3200. Me likey....me likey very much. I'm just practicing and gettin' my chops down for...well you know, muha ha ha ha

So you all know...

I do have the server that r13 was refering to up and running Half Life 2: Deathmatch currently. I plan on getting some other servers such as UT2K4, possibly a Neverwinter Nights server, a TeamSpeak server and some others on there as well. I hope to have some of that done this weekend, but considering the last 4 weekends in a row haven't necessarily gone my way, don't hold your breath. I'll let you know when I have the stuff running.
