Hi, I’m looking to commission a character artist for a custom game-ready model to be used in Sifu.
The main priority for this project is clean deformation during gameplay and cinematics, especially around areas like hips and legs during more extreme movement.
Project overview:
- Custom character (Kasumi, Dead or Alive)
- Intended for use in Sifu (modded character)
- Real-time/game-ready pipeline required
Requirements:
- Experience with game-ready characters (low/high poly workflow)
- Strong topology for deformation
- Understanding of real-time pipelines
- Bonus: experience with Unreal Engine or similar
Model approach:
- Hybrid clothing setup (mostly integrated into the mesh)
- Separate elements for secondary motion (skirt panels, ponytail, ribbons, etc.)
- Must be compatible with Sifu’s existing skeleton/animation system
References:
- Primary sculpt reference (Zo’s Kasumi sculpt, used with artist's permission)
- Current in-game mod reference
- Official Kasumi images for proportions/identity
Scope:
- Initial focus on base model (single color variation)
- Potential for additional variations later
