Blender bevels turns out larger in the middle. i want to understand why and how to fix it.

    I do not know how this is "interpreted" in other apps ( some have different naming like  "chamfered") but :
    This depends how you have selected the "corner": if only selection the corner "edges"  then this works to some degree:



    But when selecting the loop around  the corner then this in blender the outer and the inner corner edge gets beveled  "identically" like so:



    ..if you want this to somehow like "bended" then you have a different diameter on the outer and inner corners and so have to use different ones: here using the Bevel modifier mainly for presentational purposes:
