really cool animations. Design-wise, the character seems quite fragile, especially when the limbs are deployed. Unless each one of the joints had it's own servo there would be a lot of torque loss and structural instability

Long story short; its very cold & mechanical but i don't see much cuteness & fun factor, (for me).
Think a stylized approach to this kind of design would've spoken louder than a startwars rolling bot (one of the many they seem to have.)

This is simplistic & it brings a baring of caution if i should even put forth effort to assist with the request here.
Seeing only 1 "example", to work off of to "critique &/or give feedback", whether helpful or not. (long story short:i am getting high likelyhood of a.i. type vibes from this one for me.)
Otherwise i think the textures need more loving/attention in the "popping department", a lot of this looks quick and seems to have given attention to the transforming aspects of the design over the "likeability", cuteness factor or you called it creativity of the work. Using the terms "imagination generates" & "evaluate creativity" doesn't bold well for "humans" to be using it seems strange to read, & or language barrier term miscommunication.
If by some chance this is just a communication error then it can be overlooked it just is strange to say you've learned all these aspects of "creativity", like blueprints though you do not display any works in regard to your statements on the portfolio.
I get displaying this "creative work", shows you can plan structural equipment for a certain function as zethros said, the structural understanding even if just "imaginary/creativity", work still leaves much room for improvement.
Perhaps you made it as simplistic as possible for a reason but it is not stated anywhere i can find, by merely viewing the piece it seems to be utilizing the recycled aspects of creative works for reuse-ability. Which is alright though more interesting appealing functionalism should have been taken into consideration..
I too appreciated the animation & material transitions, if you where going for a cyclops bunny design i saw it, a flip front hopping rotating & landing animation in any manner of your choosing could've gone a long way.
Alternatively i was like, " if this is a sphere how come it isn't just rolling on its self? " when i thought about the bunny hop.
